This classic reproduction nautical quarter board is made entirely of pine wood. The dimensions are 1 inch thick, 12 inches wide, 6 feet long. The pine board is reclaimed wood so there are some imperfections within the grains under the black high quality acrylic paint that adds just the right character to give it an aged look, just as original quarter board look like today made in the 1800s. The entire outer edge has been routed and painted with gold gilded oil base paint, giving this sign a classic New England look. The raised 6 inch letters and Cape Cod icon image in the middle are all made of pine as well, and are also painted with oil base gold gilded paint. There is a 3 foot wire attached on the back from two eye hooks on both ends for interior displaying, preferably from two picture hangers on both ends also for even balancing. Interior display is recommended most, rather than displaying outside, as with anything left out in the weather creates fading and chipping of paint over time.
